Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee) - The Family Man. Star intelligence agent, amazing crisis manager, but an absent father and a failed spouse? From S2 and thus, the writers of this show have dished out the proverbial stick to Srikant's character in generous proportions. Surprisingly, there is no room for his side of the story to come to the fore.
The opening few scenes dwell upon Srikant's personal struggles - as a 'normie' homebuyer who's been preyed upon by the unscrupulous builder/developer mafia, as a parent who's fallen behind in keeping up with changes in his kids, and finally as a husband on the verge of separation with his wife Suchi (Priyamani). But as Srikant later points out, a spy is entitled to have a family, if not necessarily be 'in it'.
In contrast, a parallel sinister plot unfolds across some beautiful and unexplored locations in the North East (hope they stay inaccessible for their own good) and far away in London (and its gloomy sky). Dwarkanath (Jugal Hansraj)
Rukma (Jaideep Ahlawat) is introduced as an unforgiving drug lord / mercenary, who's hired by the vivacious Meera Eston (Nimrat Kaur) to trigger a mayhem
TFM is beyond doubt a hero content for Prime Video in India, alongside Panchayat, Mirzapur and perhaps Paatal Lok. But sadly S3 is everything but a gripping proposition that misses its mark and ends up becoming a forced bid to create S4 out of a plot that has run its course.
